Yet another show that is forcing me to take '92 a bit more seriously. Their sound, in general, is more fully realized here than I was expecting from '92 (for more on this see my review of 12.12.92).
All of the debuts are fun and well played, though some of them still have a little maturing...
First show of Spring Tour '92 with first, but pretty solid nonetheless, versions of Maze, My Friend, Mound, NICU, and Sleeping Monkey.

Rift smokes and these early extended versions...
There is an interview with Mike that was recorded (presumably at the venue) just prior to this show that provides a lot of really interesting context to the show, the band, and where they were in their career at that time. http://archive.org/details/InterviewWithMikeGordonFromPhish1992-03-07
I listened to this show while I opened at work this morning, and I totally recommend. I saw this was the 24th anniversary on .net, and that is how I currently base the shows I listen to.
The show is straight fire. Nothing outside the box. Everything is just tight and well played. It's always...
Funny how this is one of the top rated shows on .net, but there are no reviews. You'll definitely want to hear this one if you're looking for a super tight show from the band's earlier career. Circulates in soundboard.

These two Portsmouth shows are great. After three months off and with lots of new songs, a well practiced Phish sounds better than ever!
Horse>Silent is too fast, but fun to hear finally. A second Maze and Rift are better tonight. Weigh is great! Love this song. Horn is good, Mike sounds...

I guess I didn't explain the tramps thing too well. Before the encore, Trey handed the two trampolines to the folks in the front row ("We're giving these away because it's the end of the...
Good SBD source available for this show. Big thanks to John Redmond for capturing all of these classics! Also, big thanks to Arty for mastering! :)
Bag cuts in during the jam to open the recording. They follow this up with a really nice Reba. Well played version of Buried Alive. No Gamehendge...
"Stash" starts to get interesting in 1992. First version of the year is a good one, with lots of tension and the beginnings of pushing the jam beyond convention.
Still tinkering, this "Reba" is notable for a very cool and unique jam, which finds Mike out front early, creating a bouncy, infectious beat. Trey modifies both his tone and the intensity of his playing, before alighting upon a jazzy sort of theme. He then runs rapid-fire through a series of notes, before whipping the band into a controlled frenzy which ends dramatically.
