Review by TheEmu

TheEmu In keeping with my practice of not just rating the music, but also considering the quality of the recording in these shows from the spreadsheet, I have to go one star for this. The guitar and bass are so low in the mix that when Page and Fishman are playing, you can't hear them at all. If you want to hear what Page sounds like in isolation, I would listen to this recording. But if you want to hear some Phish, look elsewhere. Until a better recording surfaces, I'll have to go with 1 star.

brendanmcauley Fun show and again a freezing cold phish event. I stayed at my cousins in Kingston RI as she was at URI with all her grlfriends. I came up with some of my buddies and we lit the place up and partied hard this night. It was a decent ride to the show and amazingly-it was sold out! I was like wtf?...sold out? The tour manager had us all show an ID and then we were let in the back way...place was packed and the heat was blasting as it was hot inside. Winter coats and hats everywhere and the bar was slammed. I sort of had abad trip actually and wandered around most of the show but really enjoyed it. widespread was cool and then Phish tore it up. I recall parking the car and then leaving but not much else...highway to hell to close was sort of eire and dark and frankly I was ready to leave

thelot While this source is a low gen SBD recording, the overall mix of the instruments leaves a lot to be desired. Page and Fish are most prevalent in the mix. Trey and Mike are pretty much non-existent. The vocal levels are all over the place. Most of the time it sounds like they’re singing from the bottom of a well.

It’s hard to really give this set a proper listen with this kind of mix. The band opens up with their new a cappella tune, Carolina. The recording levels become more consistent during Suzy. After Sky Trey gives a shout out to Panic for hosting them down south. Trey shows Panic a good time by taking them out to Dinner and a Movie. ;) DaaM slams into Caravan. Mike’s Groove rounds out the first half. Hard to hear what’s going on in Weekapaug with Trey so low in the mix. Pretty straightforward first set for this tour.

A decent Melt started off set 2. Strong version of Possum. Foam, Highway to Hell closed out a rather short second set. An entertaining version of YEM wrapped things up. Pretty standard show overall. The odd board mix really doesn’t do this show any favors.
