Review by Miguelito

Miguelito This show has a number of strong moments and I would consider it somewhat underrated. With the opening sequence of Rift, Horn and Foam, we’re off to a nice start. After Fee, we come to the first highlight of the show. Melt was one of the first tunes I loved when I discovered the band and versions from this era are often mind-blowing. This may not quite be on that level but it’s a fiery, chaotic version. The remainder of the set is fine, including a welcome TMWSIY > Avenu Malkenu >TMWSIY.

I’ll take The Landlady to open a set anytime. This one does the job admirably, going right into an energetic Julius. That wouldn’t be my top choice for the 2 spot in Set II but once Fluffhead starts, we can quickly move on as we enjoy an excellent version that is a major show highlight. The mid-set Antelope, however, is arguably the highlight of the show and it smokes as the best of versions of this tunes tend to do. A very rare second encore is performed here, and it’s Harpua ta boot. What a way to end the show!

Overall, this is a likable show with some highlights leading me to conclude that the show is a bit underrated. However, those highlights aren’t enough to make this one of the must-listen shows of this excellent tour.
