The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
I couldn't agree more!! I've always said this is so weird and throws off the energy. Sometimes it's downright sad, In Charleston 2010 I saw a lady tripping her balls off on the concourse holding her baby and twirling and jacking her jaw...no headphones on either.
Just like, have some common sense.
And beyond "babies" you have no idea in my almost 100+ shows I've seen a pre-teen standing silent with their dad just people watching rather than listening/watching the band. It's no place for a child and you're not the "cool dad" for bringing your kid to a show so that they can say "my dad was taking me on tour before I hit puberty" as some ppl wish their parents did.
Let it be adult fun time bc even with REAL BABIES...we already have adults acting like babies enough as it is....as this reviewer already mentioned 2 different fights that happened just in his vicinity
