I love this review. I have such the same feelings about phish, as I’m sure many others do, that I started seeing them at 17 too (I’m 43 now) and it was such a formative aspect of THE formative time in my life. I get the same vibes whenever I go back to Alpine. We’re so lucky to keep being able to have these experiences with this band. I’m so glad you got to see them back home, the “in our hometown brother!” line really got me. I feel that 1000%.
