The second set, particularly the Sand > etc. > Mist run, is on par with the second sets from the Greek. And that's saying something! There's no one jam to equal the stunning 8/7 Light, but the overall flow of this set is uncanny. The most interesting moment is the 'Mind Left Body' jam during the...

I met my girlfriend/future wife off of e-harmony at the Denver international airport and we drove 6.5 hours to Telluride, stayed at Lawson campground and enjoyed both beautiful shows, and fell in love. I doubt she'll ever be the same dedicated Phish fan I am but the experience helped create our...

The band was motivated to step up to the expectations on the 2nd night in Telluride and they delivered. This show is solid in all aspects and will go down as one of the best of 2010. Crosseyed is played particularly well and the duo of Destiny Unbound and Carini in the middle of the set is art...

Additional show stats: Squirming Coil opener. First time since Gorge '98 and only the 5th time ever (as a show opener), I believe. 8th ever Let Me Lie and first of 2010 4th Walk Away since 2000 (at the time it was played) 3rd Roses are Free of Phish 3.0, 4th since 2000 and 16th ever...

For some reason I talked myself into believing that because the night before was the 15 year anniversary of Jerrys death, they'd do some dead. I unrealistically fantasized about hearing Terrapin Station again. But they tossed out a famous dead cover Quinn the Eskimo for the first time in over a...

Set two kicked ass. Sand through mountains was fantastic. Can't wait for night two.

This is the first show in a while that I listened to for the first time and then immediately hit repeat to stroll through it again. Second set flow is fantastic and first set is solid. Well played boys.

oh yeah, i almost forgot, quinn was doubly appropriate as the long awaited "nod to jerry." while many pondered which jerry tune would be played on this evening, i don't think i heard any calls for quinn. good bring back and a good nod to 'ol jerry. from some conversations i had in the...

Notable Jam Chart Performances

Individual jam chart entries from this venue:

2010-08-10 Carini (8:36) Set 2
A very dark version, but one that also gets away from "Carini" proper. A nice funky Mike-led groove breaks first, but then turns chilling, ominous, and spacey, and includes a "One Of These Days" (Pink Floyd) quote from Fish, and an "Echoes" (Pink Floyd) tease from Page. > to "Free."
2010-08-09 Sand (12:09) Set 2
This version opened the floodgates for the modern "Sand" resurgence as Mike improvised his bass line rather than sticking to the fixed groove, adding another element of improvisation. Trey's uncompressed growl and Mike's playing through the envelope filter in the first half of the jam add cool textures. Short outro jam and a > into "Backwards Down the Number Line."
> in from "BDTNL." Some really beautiful playing by Trey initially, then the band shifts into a slightly dissonant and spacey foray with a > to "Tweezer."
Segues out of "Tweezer". Manteca tease from Page in the "plinko" jam with some footbell action from Mike.
2010-08-09 Piper (13:32) Set 2
This is a really strong Piper by most standards, but especially by 2010 standards. They careen through the song at a breakneck pace, build tension, and explode, and the jam ends in a semi-ambient space.
