The first set is pretty straight-forward, although the Peaches bustout in the opening spot and Curtain>Down with Disease is swell. The second set is an improvement over the first, highlighted by one of the top Tweezers (and jams) of the year. Fall 96 was a great time for Simple, and while this...

I just finished listening to this show. I downloaded the recently seeded new source on etree (which is a solid pull) and threw this show on while I was making dinner/cleaning tonight. As a whole this show is exceptionally average. However, it's still a fun listen because of a solid...

Set 1 is pretty average. The exceptions being Trey slaying DWD and a pretty intense and strong Antelope to close. Set 2 is strong front to back. Tweezer starts off extra funky and the jam is very experimental. It's also fun how it slows down into a kind of metal jam towards the end. Reba has...

Notable Jam Chart Performances

Individual jam chart entries from this venue:

1996-12-01 Tweezer (20:00) Set 2 Noteworthy
Controlled chaos. Typical fierce jam segues into a cacaphonous hazey wall-of-sound soup, that in turn leads into a "type II" excursion with Trey on the mini-kit and Page, Mike and Fish wailing away. Ends in a truly INSANE, drawn-out way, too.
1996-12-01 Reba (15:44) Set 2
Extended, Trey-centric groove, featuring a wonderful theme, offset by scattershot playing, matched in equal measure by Fish. Really remarkable. Trey soon breaks to solo atop a passage of really cool and stately calm. Hushed and unhurried, Mike and Page offer wonderful accents as the band continues to probe and explore, expertly modulating intensity. Trey soon breaks free, his soloing extended and infused with amplified energy.
