This was a stellar show. It was my 6th of this tour at this point and best except for maybe Spokane(10/7). We didn't know what to think when Tweeprise lit up. I was taping and started my DAT late as I was blown away by what was happening and forgot to unpause my D-7. Great flow and high energy...

How about a Tweeprise to kick things off? I had to check and see if I'd inadvertently started playing disc 3! By opening up with this song, Phish effectively pulls the net out from under themselves as they step onto the tightrope: if the rest of the show turns out to be lackluster, they'll look...

For the most part EducateFright said everything I would've review-wise. Just wanted to add a bit about the GTBT>Tweeprise to close the first set. First off Trey rips the solos, I think Jimmy Page would be proud, and the end jam morphs from pure rock hose to classic phish tension release. After...

This review is based upon the archival release; I was not in attendance. Unprecedented Tweeprise opener, to be unlikely repeated a few weeks later at 11/9/95, according to a jaunt over to ZZYZX's Phish Stats, and which would not happen again until 6/19/10, where it followed 6/18/10's...

Easily a show that should be listened to from start to finish. Incredible energy on this night, notable from the opening and closing of Set I, the Michael Jackson teases throughout, and a couple of stellar Set II jams. Unfortunately, the Live Phish release doesn't appear to have the Purple...

Incredible show with a ton of energy. 1st set sandwiched between a Tweeprise!!!!...Good Times Bad Times smokes.....2001 --> David Bowie is worth a listen....YEM --> Purple Rain --> HYHU is stellar.... I love the way Harry Hood's ending plays out in this version...Highway to Hell!!!!...

A fun nugget about this show is that earlier that day, the hometown Nebraska Cornhuskers football team beat the visiting Kansas State Wildcats in a heavyweight tilt. Lincoln (and Nebraska in general) is obsessed with football. The city must have been lit. Trey donning a bright red shirt for a...

Shapiro’s essay: http://hood.nugs.net/cs/blogs/live-phish/archive/2010/10/19/phish-10-21-95-pershing-auditorium-lincoln-ne-essay-by-phish-archivist-kevin-shapiro-august-2007.aspx Soundcheck: Dog Log – Super funked up. Hilarious banter about guy that was hammering something inside the venue as...

Notable Jam Chart Performances

Individual jam chart entries from this venue:

1995-10-21 David Bowie (16:36) Set 2
Although it doesn't get way beyond "Bowie," this very good version includes a lot of little unexpected improvisational twists and turns and a psychedelic edginess.
1995-10-21 Reba (13:58) Set 1
Super Fish sets a shuffling beat atop which Trey grooves, and a wonderful, rolling jam ensues. Mike incites a mini-breakdown, from which a concerted passage of energy builds to burst. Trey employs any number of staccato-like licks, with Page matching him upon his piano. Huge sustain and powerful trilling drive this version to a thrilling conclusion.
"Oye Como Va" teases and HUUUUGE B&D!
