This was my first West Coast Phish show. The atmosphere is so much different out here as compared to the rabid Northeast to which I was accustomed. Is it the water? Is it the air? More likely, the inherent mellowness is due to the seemingly unnatural abundance of the diggety-dankest of specimens...

I brought a nay-bob to this show (who I love dearly). A die-hard Deadhead, she wasn't too keen on Phish, but I'd gotten some comp tix, and she was curious. "A Day in the Life" blew her mind, but it wasn't enough to convert. Me? I'd converted so long before that each show just seemed more...

This was my 1st Phish show ever! As a die-hard Deadhead, who refused to listen to any other bands beside the Grateful Dead during their existence, could not believe how good Phish was! I must give kudos to two friends, Matt C. & Merri R., for convincing me to check them out. I went on a summer...

After a day off following the two Seattle shows, Fall Tour went south to Portland to begin a four-night run that would cover over 1,100 miles and include crossing the Canadian border. The Memorial Coliseum was newly vacant as the Portland Trailblazers were in a new home that season. The show...

My first "arena" show. It was a little strange, but that's the nature of change, right? My buddy P and I talked to Mike about living in Oregon before the show. Just a casual chat, what's it like, etc. I had a hard time finding good sound. That Coliseum's sort of an echo chamber. It took...

I remember parking on a divider on the road by the coliseum, bc the parking lot was packed! We were making our kind veggie pasta, when a fire broke out on my Coleman stove, and chaos ensued in the lot. I dared my friend to eat a HUGE mushroom, and he did! It was the right show, but not the best...

Notable Jam Chart Performances

Individual jam chart entries from this venue:

Crazy spaced out intro. Sigourney Weaver is floating around this version somewhere. Page stars.
1996-11-24 Reba (13:46) Set 1
Lightning fast composed section, brimming with extra temerity. Speedy play extends into the jam, only the band, collectively, dials the sound way down, which makes for an interesting sonic juxtaposition. Notable full-band play informs this fun, quirky version, as Trey's solo builds voluminously, and the others match his intensity.
Strong jam.
1995-10-05 David Bowie (15:41) Set 2
A much more exploratory version than most Fall '95 "Bowies," which despite being very well played and intense, stick pretty close to the basic theme.
