I was just informed by Phishnet that it's the 24th anniversary of my first show and I had yet to write a review so hear it goes. I heard about them from friends up north and I had talked them up to anybody who'd listen based on what I had been told. Unfortunately, I was unable to get there...

A good solid show, although not quite up to 4 star level, IMHO. In addition to being humorous, Roll Like a Cantaloupe is pretty well played, as is It's Ice. The Smells Like Teen Spirit teases/quotes in Dinner & A Movie, Cantaloupe and Tweezer are kind of funny, but get a little repetitive after...

Well played show. Didn't find much to really rage over. Just great playing.

This is a (typically) solid show from 1991, when the band was really starting to outgrow venues like this, even in remote areas like Chapel Hill. I was a freshman at Duke (don't hate me, I didn't like it either) at the time, and have often wondered, "what if"? What if I had somehow made it to...

Very solid show with the GCH. The tunes are tight and all well executed as the horns add a sense of excitement and energy that the guys definitely feed off of. I've always felt that in particular Suzy, Divided Sky, AC/DC Bag, and Cavern all sound fantastic with horns; and here we have them all...

I'd say this ANTELOPE is being underestimated as a novelty. It really smokes.... Trey shreds it HARD in a 91 style that makes it a little unique from the later ragers. As a small historical note, Smells like Teen Spirit was just starting to explode on this particularly date. Checking back,...

This is an exciting show from the days in which the band would drop YEM in the set 1 song 2 slot! My Ghetto Fab Remaster is easily the best aud I've ever heard: so clear, so crisp. It's always wonderful to hear old-school tunes such as Dinner and a Movie played with spot-on technical finesse....

Brief Page solo, then the whole band gets rocking. Sweet!
Aggressive Trey in a dissonant jam with strong Evil Mike in a slightly jazzy mode.
