(Published in the second edition of The Phish Companion...) I drove with, Richard, my roommate at Virginia Tech, straight up 81 from Blacksburg to the beautiful setting of the Virginia Horse Center. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge...

Gorgeous setting, gorgeous day. I picked up a ticket for this show for $16.50 at a record store outside of Richmond. Ah...the good ol' days.

Notable Jam Chart Performances

Individual jam chart entries from this venue:

Another strong, groove-oriented jam, which, primarily because of tape quality, provides a great look at Page’s strong play. Trey, however, locks into a great riff, which Mike then echoes, as Fish, as usual, drives the version's frenetic pace.
1994-04-20 Stash (11:34) Set 1
The great thing about "Stash" from '93 - '94 is how fluidly the band weaves back on forth between familiar ground and exploratory territory. This intense and gripping version shifts back and forth several times.
A bit odd and quircky at times, but also very experimental and improvisational, and the jam closes with a raging peak.
