What can be said about this Foam that would do it justice...hard to imagine. Following the temporary demise of Phish, none of us knew if/when/how we were going to get to hear so many of the songs which had become so intrenched in each of our (and the collective) psyche(s). This 54 minute Foam,...

(Published on the legacy Phish.net site 2/10/98...) Reflecting on my first show more than six years after the fact, I have to include a fairly humorous anecdote about our adventure to the Georgia Theater. As four of us where anxious to leave Clemson and get down to Athens, we had to wait for...

Here are my notes from the listen: Great brother, espcially with page on the organs very fast tube, again strong work by page Hood very percussive opening, amazing solo. I love this guitar tone from Trey Interesting change in Foam/ drums opening Nice little segue between Dinner and Stash...

One thing that set Phish apart in the years of 1989-1992 was their tight, professional presentation on stage. Both sets kick off with strong openers, and a second song that starts on the last note of the first, for a powerful one-two combination punch. And they just keep coming... Brother...

7/26/91 was an enjoyable show, but not quite up to 4 stars, IMHO. Part of it is I'm not thrilled by most of the '91 horn shows, just because it seems to limit the improv to some extent. Don't get me wrong, I like the horns, and some tunes (Like Suzy or Flat Fee) seem to benefit greatly from them....

The tape for this show is terrible! It's one of those tapes where it's old and it's decayed to the point where the band sounds like they're playing Chipmunk songs. Seriously though, the songs are all at least a step and a half up. I tried not to let this affect my enjoyment of the show, but The...

Notable Jam Chart Performances

Individual jam chart entries from this venue:

1991-11-12 Brother (5:17) Set 1
In addition to the customary dissonance and sick playing by Trey, this version also includes lots of great Page on the B-3, and some excellent playing by Mike.
1991-11-12 Magilla (4:09) Set 2
Cool version with Trey's solo featuring a theme similar to "All Things Reconsidered," earlier teased. Laid-back and breezy full-band playing.
1991-07-26 Tweezer (11:30) Set 2
Strong version with the Giant Country Horns.
Fantastic jam segment with the Giant Country Horns!
