I was introduced to the band by some older counslers at an overnight summer camp. I had been listening to Phish for about 3 years before this. Mostly studio stuff execpt for Slip, Stitch, and Pass and NYE 95. At the time I new nothing about trading tapes and such. So when this tour was announced...

There was smoke billowing in the distance. The ruins of Nassau Coliseum lay razed in celebratory wreckage. Even as far south as Greensboro, NC, the embers of February 28th floated down, dangerously hot, to the city's arena. And that's where the story begins. The band, still red hot from 24...

(Published in the second edition of The Phish Companion...) This was the first show I ever saw. I had waited pretty much half of my life to see Phish. (I bought Rift for myself in the 6th grade). My friend Blake and I left our hometown, and we...

Notable Jam Chart Performances

Individual jam chart entries from this venue:

2003-03-01 Proud Mary (2:41) Set e
-> in from the "YEM" vocal jam. A capella rendering of the CCR classic.
2003-03-01 Foam (10:40) Set 1
The ever dependable Page is just awesome here with some great rolls at the end of his solo (5:07 - 5:19). Trey is both delicate and on the mark with his solo. Nice build-up.
2003-03-01 Piper (17:02) Set 2
Twisted Worm! This version is many "Pipers" rolled into one. The jam is like a roller coaster with ups and downs in intensity and rhythm. Just a great groove that ebbs and rises and is partially based on Santana's "Oye Como Va."
"YEM" vocal jam -> to a capella version of "Proud Mary."
