The first set plus the start of the second set here are really, really good. The Runaway Jim is smoking, the Reba has some fine Cactus, and the YEM is very good. The David Bowie with Mo' Better Blues intro is the easy highlight of the show, IMO, and is definitely worth the listen. Divided Sky...

This was my 3rd Phish show. It is a shame the recording is so bad because they absolutely ripped. The band showed up very late due to a blizzard. The bar staff wasn't sure if they'd even make it. They set up quickly and did a live sound check for the crowd that blew the roof off. That really set...

My first show, and really just going out to the Haunt to see a band that we only had heard of because of us all being Deadheads. My buddy went to Ithaca College, so we drove down to visit him, party, and check Phish out. The roads were crap and snowing like all hell, by the time the band went...

Shared on rec.music.gdead by Catfish John on October 2nd, 1990 to a whopping 5x viewers -- thought it should be shared here for posterity: After hearing various New England Netheads rave about Phish, I decided to travel down to Ithaca last night to catch them. First, my friend Linda & I had a...

Really not much to say about this one. The sound quality isn't great, but much better than 5/7/90. The early Gumbo was interesting, and the Antelope was decent, but not too much to go crazy about with this show, I don't think. 3 stars.

Pretty standard stuff, with the possible exception of a fairly ripping Tweezer, which is worth a listen or two. Not much else I can think of to say, three stars.

Ugh. I guess the music, or at least, what I could hear of the music was OK, but the recording is simply awful and more or less unlistenable. It sounds like someone holding a memo recorder down by their hip at the very back of packed venue. The crowd noise is far more clear than the music....

Well it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be to listen to this for an hour, but it was a really awful recording to hear. Too bad that's the case with this one, because from what I could hear, it sounds like a pretty good show. Trey and Fish are on fire! ...pun intended... So, that being...

Dissonant, exploratory jam with great tension building. Crazy Trey and Fish as the jam builds to a peak.
