Phish was obviously excited to be playing to the hometown crowd, in a beautiful setting and delivered an energetic and focused performance that wound up with a legendary sit in from Carlos and the two percussionists. It was one of those deals when you could easily see and hear the excitement that...

BAM! Take it up a notch! This is an excellent recording of an excellent set of songs as part of the "Best Behavior Tour" opening for Santana. That's what I call it anyway. I've had this recording for years, so I knew it was coming up. You've got to love jamming with Carlos in front of a...

THE GOOD: The best parts of this show revolve around some chaotic Trey work hinting at Dave's Energy Guide. This happens in Divided Sky (11:07) and Stash (8:00). I like the Tweezer>Walk Away here, particularly because the Tweezer really gets into full 'hey' mode where the band is quite dissonant,...

Pretty kickass Llama to start the show. Notably strong Horn. Pretty sloppy poor heart intro. Very solid and well played Stash. Pretty straight forward 1993 first set. Tweezer is basically the business for this show. It is very strong and cohesive with a nice quick chaotic jam that packs a...

They were giving away tickets for this show, due to the weather. Trey's opening line says it all though. The band rocked hard for the full show, and busted out Gordon Stone too. This Possum and Rocky Top are still among my favorite versions. The show is well worth a listen, even if it lives...

MY 1st Phish show!!! And we got LOST on the way and drove to the ski mountain instead of the actual venue!!! Hey it was also my 1st VT trip...I remember arriving during Yamar and dancing my way to the lawn :-) Highlights of my eve : 2001>Tweezer>Walk Away (with Pearl Jam "Alive" teases) was...

This opening set for Santana is short but sweet. Phish comes right out of the gate with tons of energy commonplace during their early years. Runaway Jim and Foam are both well-played and feature energetic jams. The Sparkle and Stash are pretty standard with the Stash clocking in at 9 minutes with...

To clear up the two reviewers' Bowie mystery. There was a European import disc of this show that circulated years ago, hence the quality sound, and the filler was the Bowie from 4/17/92 at the Warfield. It's a shame that y'all's copies faded out, as it legendarily climaxes with the lines of...

Really solid opener for Santana. As others have mentioned, the YEM, Llama, Bitch are definitely the highlights. Trey and Santana feed off each other numerous times through out those songs and listening to them you'd think they had been playing together for years. Again, solid show for all 4, IMO,...

This is pretty much an average-great show until the Santana band members join in. That is to say, everything is tightly and splendidly played, but the You Enjoy Myself, Llama, Funky Bitch combination is particularly inspired due to the guests. I'm not overly familiar with Santana, so I don't know...

Notable Jam Chart Performances

Individual jam chart entries from this venue:

1992-07-25 You Enjoy Myself (16:14) Set 1 Noteworthy
Santana jams with the Phish!
1993-07-22 Stash (11:14) Set 1
Great repetitive and thematic jamming which cranks the tension up several notches.
1993-07-22 Possum (9:29) Set 2
Great and varied jam that includes a "Tweezer" jam at the beginning and a nice melodic section. Then it acclerates.
1992-07-25 Stash (9:22) Set 1
Mike and Page are awesome! Actually, Trey and Fish are pretty awesome too. A rock solid version.
1992-07-25 Llama (5:15) Set 1
Carlos Santana on guitar and Karl Perazzo and Paul Rekow on percussion. Excellent version. First Carlos, then Page, then Trey. Carlos and Trey both tear it up, but have very different styles.
