Ok. This was our First Show! At 33 years old we were lookng for a change in the music scene. Tired of soft jazz and bad pop from the 80's my wife went out shopping for some music she heard on the radio in Seattle where we lived. She came home with a fishhbone CD. We popped it in and went no...

The Month of November 1994 was arguably the best month Phish has ever had. It has almost no let downs. Some off the shows in this month were totally completely amazing. As I finished with 11-28-94 (Montana) and the rest of this month. I have never really heard anything about the show at Evergreen...

Fun first set - I'm not that much a fan of the DWD, but the Reba is pretty decent, Frankenstein is a great opener, and the Forbin's > Mockingbird is cool (I enjoy the segue arrows for The Vibration of Life, which barely constitutes a song). The second set, though, is goddamn incredible, and is my...

My first show. Arrived late due to flat tire issues on I-5 just outside of Portland. Encountered a mild amount of "fuck you, hippie" attitude from the Evergreen students so entering the gym in the middle of My Friend, My Friend was mood-capturingly excellent. As I made my way to the pit (this was...

This is a funny show. The bootleg I heard was missing the encores and had very little Page in the mix, which is very disappointing. First set starts with a standard Suzy into the new My Friend, which has a very rough intro section. Paul is good, Reba has a sloppy middle section. Brother is...

and another sidenote: 2nd set - "Fixin' To Die" contains Landlady teases before moving into Ya Mar

TO SAY THE BOYS WERE ON FIRE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. This first set is beast mode Trey. But You hear the rest of the band so confident in their spun we get a really nice glimpse of Phish pre- grand piano. This is the farthest they can take their sound without that baby grand

4.25.92 Band comes out swinging with Suzy. Enjoyed MYFE here, guitar is way out front. Paul and Silas is good here, into a Reba that is a little sloppy but with a fine wee jam. The rest of the set cruises along, good energy, good songs, good band. Nice fiery Antelope. Set 2. Maze is ok,...

Notable Jam Chart Performances

Individual jam chart entries from this venue:

1994-11-30 My Friend, My Friend (8:21) Set 1 Noteworthy
Quality '94 space jamming in the outro section which > to "Reba."
1994-11-30 Run Like an Antelope (10:03) Set 2 Noteworthy
"Antelope" -> "MSO" -> "Antelope" -> "Fixin' To Die." Awesome Fall '94 improvisation. The first section of "Antelope" is strong but par for this period. However the section following "MSO" includes some excellent, experimental jamming, and segues smoothly into the band's only electrified version of "Fixin' To Die".
1994-11-30 My Sweet One (3:46) Set 2 Noteworthy
-> in from "Antelope." Humorous version with snoring provides a brief relief before -> back to the "RLAA" -> "Fixin' To Die" storm.
1994-11-30 Run Like an Antelope (7:32) Set 2 Noteworthy
-> in from "My Sweet One." The second and very "Type II" section of "Antelope" charges away and -> to the electrified "Fixin' To Die."
1994-11-30 Fixin' to Die (4:51) Set 2 Noteworthy
-> in from "RLAA." Awesome electrified version puts the final touches on this awesome jam and song combination.
Gets beyond "DwD" several times with some dissonant jamming, then makes a big break at 7:00 into "Type II" terrain. Returns to "DwD," but with flashes of dissonance.
1994-11-30 Ya Mar (9:41) Set 2
-> in from "Fixin' To Die." Trey turns the volume down to almost zero, then builds it back up during his solo. -> to "Mike's Song."
1994-05-20 It's Ice (9:55) Set 1
Page and Fish lead the band in a couple of different grooves. An atypically funky jam in parts.
1994-05-20 Bathtub Gin (10:54) Set 1
Some good thrashing around early, then the jam breaks into a classic "Type I" jam with spirited play and a cool ending.
Weird, experimental jamming with lots of angry dissonance, tempo changes, and a crazy build to the peak. Then at the very end, there is a cool Trey solo with subtle backup from the others.
Twisted, odd version. "Ob La Di"...
"Chariots of Fire" VJ.
