Review by DollarBill

DollarBill This is actually a pretty good recording right off of the soundboard, you can hear all the crazy reverbs and delays that Paul was adding to the mix, but the playing is definitely five-star tonight. They were just not very tight on this show. Lots of cuts on the recording make it sound suspect that they really broke up the parts of Fluff and interspursed them throughout the show too, but it looks great on paper as the set list.

Check it out if you're into early soundboards and weird set lists.

TheEmu Very little about this show stood out for me. On the upside, My Sweet One is unusually interesting with some nice bluegrassy licks from Trey. On the downside, the Bowie strikes me as rather unpleasant in an atonal mish-mash sort of way. Pretty much everything else strikes me as average, so three stars.

Review by thelot

thelot This is a pretty good SBD recording. There’s a decent amount of audience in the mix. An enjoyable recording overall. The only down side is that half of set 2 is missing. ;)

Set one is well played with a handful of nice transitions. The most notable comes during McGrupp>Who Do? We Do!>Bowie. Bowie starts up right before the “David Bowie” chorus kicks in. Very cool! Another nice version of Bowie here, even though it’s not as experimental as a few recent versions played. MSO seemed to be played a bit slower than the debut version in Bennington.

Set 2 continues with more tasty fluffanutter transitions. I wish we had the entire set to review because the first half is awesome! This one is definitely worth a spin. There’s a bunch of uncirculated shows that preceded this one. I’m curious when they started incorporating these Fluff Travel transitions into their sets. It’s possible this is the first show of the tour where they start doing this.
