Review by DollarBill

DollarBill This is another soundboard quality bootleg. I love that you can hear chatter from the band. The mix starts off rough but gets better. I wonder if Paul had to mix on the fly?

The very begining of Buried Alive is cut as we fade in about ten seconds into Page and Fish's intro. Good opener. Bouncing starts off with reverb and delay all over the vocals and then feedback to follow as Paul gets settled in. Nothing special here. Foam needs more Mike as the mix gets better by the end, good but, not great. Jim is pretty good for this time frame, very well played. Ice starts off great but, Trey jumps the gun coming out of Page's solo which blows that section. Mike blows the last chorus in the end too. Trey sounds frustrated as he starts Horn with a shakey intro. Horn itself is ok. So to get out of this mess, we have a European Henrietta section. Fish keeps it simple: "This is a Sid Barret song and this is an Electrolux vacuum cleaner." HYHU is back on as the official theme song. Llama is a great closer and totally rips as usual! Page's Hammond is screaming.

Not their best set but, if it was my first time that day, I'd still be blown away and want more.

Review by Bob_Loblaw

Bob_Loblaw Opening sets are so weird for Phish. There's no time to breath and depending on the setlist it is make or break from the start.

There isn't too much in this set to write home about. The one highlight I really see is the Runaway Jim. It has a pretty strong ending with some great peaky playing by Trey.

Having said all that I definitely wouldn't be complaining about the opening band for this show :)
