Review by fluffheadj

fluffheadj I wish I remembered more about this show, because it was a burner. DJ Logic was a serious man about town in the jamband world at the time, seemed to show up everywhere, and in turn everyone showed up to sit in for his gig here. It was a trip being about 3 feet away from Mike on the obscenely intimate Wetlands stage. My memory is that Stanley Jordan basically jumped up out of the crowd in the waning hours of the show and did his Stanley Jordan wizardry thing. I am writing the review, though, to make sure anyone who comes across this gig notes the date: this was the last ever show at the Wetlands not by design but because the next day was 9/11. A very surreal feeling to leave Tribeca at 2am, stumble home on the subway, and wake up to the news that the neighborhood I had been boogieing in a few hours before was a rubble-strewn war zone. (For anyone unaware, this central venue for the development of the jamband scene was maybe 10-15 blocks from the WTC.) RIP to Wetlands, 'twas a real one.
