Pretty good SBD recording available for this show albeit a little flat. I’m grateful there’s something available for this show given the lack of people in the audience. It sounds like there’s only three people in the room that night! Probably all Page’s immediate family.

The show starts out with a loose Alumni. It almost sounds like you’re listening to soundcheck. Things tighten up quickly and we’re treated to a nice string of songs to open the show. A decent Split Open follows. Donna Lee gets dusted off after a brief Hiatus. Last seen at The Front on 10/20. This pairs nicely with a solid Slave. Inspired version of YEM tonight, but unfortunately cuts out during the jam section! Ugh!!! I believe the band debuted Carolina earlier this year knowing these Carolina shows were coming up. It sounds like the room is filling in a little more at this point. Foam is a bit off to start. Jesus Left closes out the recording of this long first set. There was definitely more that followed but unfortunately it’s lost to time. I’m curious if I only one set was played on this night.
