Great write-up. Feels like I was almost there.

Actually, I was almost there. I told @flippingbackwards this was the show for me this summer. Compete with an idea for a pleasant afternoon bike ride around the lake to the show. But he was like — nah— Philly — Cuse is too far to drive. (I’m a one show guy now that I have 4 kids and a tractor and fishing pole that demand too much of my attention). I actually rather enjoy the summer drive through the Berkshires to upstate. But having lived in Philly for the better part of a decade I had little interest in flying down to spend a hot Tuesday in July there among the onionmeatsmoke. So when other friends asked if I was free for 7/23 I had a sad thought about what could have been, and said yea. Then @flippingbackwards is like oh yeah we’re doing ‘Cuse. By then it’s too late for me.

It was ok. I had let it go.

Then I see that I Didn’t Know - What’s the use - Reprise encore. And can imagine the feeling in my cheeks and chest when the house lights go up, and it all gets so fresh and raw.

It’s a sad story. I will let it go in time.
