 Agreed that the slow Llama was a huge surprise - big bustouts (Scents intro) and huge jams on unexpected songs (Magna Caspian) are amazing, but do happen from time to time, like the 11/26/97 Character Zero. But for a song to get a complete stylistic makeover, that really hasn't happened in a long time - maybe not since the funky 4/5/98 Cavern? And before that, the bluesy Poor Hearts from the mid 90s? I guess you could also count the slow "Dog Log" from 12/11/95, too. But still, quite rare.
