MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 403

Welcome to the 403rd edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the second contest of February. This week's puzzle comes courtesy of MJM Hall-of-Famer @justino - thanks for the great clips! The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the songs and dates of both mystery clips. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Good luck!

Hint: Mike!

Answer: Pencils down! In a shocking development, the blog holds on by a thread and pulls out its first win in over 25 contests, winning for only the 26th time in almost a decade. This week's hint was cued up to the portion of the IT "Mike's Song" during which Mike yelled "Hendge," a reference to the verse Trey accidentally skipped in the preceding "Wilson" - this week's theme was "Jams from Gamehendge songs": 7/29/17 "Wilson" and 6/30/00 "AC/DC Bag." Let's hope the website loads on Monday when we play for two in MJM404.

ANewNameForDotNet Ugh, I know that I know that first one. The second clip I know for sure.

A_Buddhist_Prodigy I have come reasonably close on the 2nd one, but I'm feeling like this is one of the obvious ones that I should know (aka, I went to dang'ed show!), but I can't get it. The first one . . . sounds great and I likely kick myself when I find it!

Ry_storm The first one is so frustratingly familar...It sounds like 2017 and it's in the key of A but I have yet to find the specific jam it's from

no clue on the second lol

uctweezer oooh are we going to the hint on a two clipper for the first time since I went Oysterhead on that ass?
, comment by justino
justino "Oysterhead on that Ass" sounds like a movie my parents didn't want me to see when I was younger.

uctweezer I’m surprised this hasn’t been solved yet

Do folks not get the hint? I time stamp’d it to the exact moment Mike speaks

Edit: it just occurred to me that folks might not realize / see that the hint links to phish.in - sorry for the awful color choice for hyperlinks on the site ... but it’s clickable for sure

metawhy why why the 3.0 stuff???

Ry_storm First one is definitely 7/29/17 Wilson
Second one I'm not totally sold that it's 8/14/09 Catapult but I got no other ideas

serpent_deflector Saw the hint last night and immediately figured out the first clip as BD Wilson, but I don’t like throwing guesses out there. I want to know it’s right first, and I just couldn’t find that second clip. Mostly listened to Wilsons, so I wasn’t that close. ;)

Ry_storm Usually the MJMs are really obscure 1.0 jams that I'm not familiar with but drawing me in with an easily recognizable 2017 jam and then slamming me with that second clip was DIRTY and I will never forgive you

side note: I liked being able to figure out one of them this week please use more 3.0 lol

I was there too -- those late June/early July shows were a lot of fun.

Small world. My college roommate was there and in retrospect, why didn't he invite me to make the trip up? You've opened a wound! Seriously, that Bag kinda had a Mango percussion jam vibe for me. If my memory serves me, that whole show was high energy. Time for a spin.
