Review by Phan3123

Phan3123 Alright first night of 7 at the garden. I attended the first weekend and had a blast as usual in NYC.

First set starts out with Evening Song. I like this song and every time it pops up at one of my shows, it usually was a pretty dam good show. A Wave of Hope is next, Whether I enjoy this song or not they always take it for a ride. This version is so dam good, I’ve listened more than a few times and it really hits the spot. Just beautiful playing all around, trust me just listen. Cities follows and this is another good version of this song in recent times. I really like this jam it’s mellow and groovy. The Old Home Place is fitting and I love Phish blue grass. Free follows and is solid, I like when this pops up mid set instead of opening shows. Brian and Robert is always beautiful. Stash goes type 1 and is solid followed by a closing My Soul which rips as usual. Great first set.

More opens set 2, that’s all I have to say regarding that. Atleast it didn’t end the set. Ruby waves is next and has a celebratory jam with a nice peak, I liked this version. This melts into Plasma and it’s another great version. They meander a little bit until finding a nice theme which leads to a very good jam. Simple is up next and it’s another good jam, more psychedelic to these ears which I enjoy. This then goes into Mountains in the Mist which is a great call and beautifully played. Split Open and Melt ends the set and this is another monster version I’ve been in attendance for, just scary/dark which I enjoy. Great second set. Good Times Bad Times ends the show strong in the encore spot. Happy to get this again and it rips.

Set 1 highlights-> A Wave of Hope(Highly Recommended), Cities

Set 2 Highlights-> Ruby Waves->Plasma>Simple, Split Open and Melt(Highly Recommended).

This was a very good show with lots of jamming all around on new and old favorites. This was my favorite show of the weekend and I’m still pretty high on this one. I’d rate it a 4.40/5.
