i certainly appreciate the effort and a nice positive review. That being said, I'm having a hard time seeing this show, and the run in general, as anything but a disappointment. I'm not saying that these shows have been bad per se, but not close to the bar they've set the last 3 years. This show is filled with rip-chords, flubs, and no real coherency. All the shows this run have. There are no real signature jams, and you have to kind of squint to see the highlights.

This would have been fine in 2011, or even a mid-week stop at some random shed this year. But this is 12/30 at the Garden during an incredibly strong year. Simply not up to par.

Every year has an arc. This one peaked sharply at SPAC. Not saying it fell off a cliff after that, but Fall was a full notch below most of summer, and these shows have been a notch below Fall.

It happens. Not a huge deal. But this run will be in the bottom third of NYE runs when looking back, maybe bottom quarter.
