Review by Hugh_Mongus

Hugh_Mongus Anyone with a setlist? I cant say enough about Johnny Ds, It is by far my favorite venue to go for a couple drinks and listen to tunes. Johnny D's was where Susan Tedeschi would play Blues Jams on Sundays, a tradition that is still kept to this day. Unfortunetly, JDs will be closing the doors in a couple months. I understand this 'review' is more or less off topic, however I figured with no setlist available, no one would be reviewing this, which now makes me question my input.. :) I guess I just love Johnny Ds and would love to take a listen of Phish playing 26 years ago.

Review by Powderhound

Powderhound Just got on here. Not sure how to update setlists. The only song I clearly recall from this night is Harry Hood. I recall that because Trey told the extensive story of writing the song while he and Fishman were on the beaches in Greece and imagining what was going on back at home. They came to the funny thought of what was happening to the food and milk left in the fridge. And of course our famous milk cow Harry would want to join them on the beach in Greece. So when the lights go out, Harry would fly around the globe like superman, (supercow), and meet them. Kind of a strange night as the place had maybe 65ish people that night. We basically had a cocktail table at the stage. Hardly any dancing this night. I boogied several times and a few others. But mostly folks sitting at their tables. They were listening and clapping enthusiastically at the song breaks. But one of the two most chill, laid back shows by any bands I've seen of that caliber.

Review by Mags1

Mags1 The only time I have done standup comedy was at Johnny D's. Ive lived in Somerville for 9 years (I'm 36) and it's so cool to say I performed on the same stage as Phish. That place is actually reopening maybe next week Aug 2022, as it was closed for the past 3 years. It is one of the coolest clubs and I hope someone can find a full setlist for this show.
