 The real question is are the 2 and 3 ratings ppl who are salty? Or would you only accept this being a great show if it had a 20+ min jam? I think this show was spectacular too to bottom. Barely a time to pee, amazing bust outs and great interplay. Plus did you see mikes face when trey strong armed into groove? Hope we get a mikes>simple sometime today or tomorrow

	 I was not at this show.
		I was not at this show. While I would have loved to be at this show with the setlist, setting, and weather, from a streaming/listening standpoint, I don't think this show will be a memorable one for me. Well, other than being the "Shafty Mexico show"
		While I would have loved to be at this show with the setlist, setting, and weather, from a streaming/listening standpoint, I don't think this show will be a memorable one for me. Well, other than being the "Shafty Mexico show" Not a great 4 night run but then again NONE of the Mexico runs have been great Not a single 4.5 show in 7 years pretty crazy There have been good shows like 4.0 range which is slightly above average but the setlists on paper have been great. They played Lizards Shafty Gin and Sea and Sand which has only been played 4 x and that is one of my all time favorite covers I adore the Velvet Underground and Loadeds best songs are I Found a Reason and the fat micky mouse song and Sea and Sand from The Whos Quadrophenia this is definitely the piano song like Blackbird on the White Album for the Beatles It is the epic song that ties that whole double album together w some of the best lyrics in a The Who song ever!!! I wish they played that song more often at least on beaches like in Atlantic City and it was perfectly placed here. I want more Albuquerque the Have Mercy was nice I love any and all Reggae songs like Marleys Mellow Mood or Three Little Birds Trenchtown Rock and the list goes on and I love bluegrass so Old Home Place Ginseng Sullivan being my 2 favorites but Nellie Cane and Evening Song is so growing on me along w FEFU and If I could being the classic greatest of all time and that album Rift will go down as epic bluegrass and that tour 1994 belongs to Allison Krauss Her album Forget About It I have memorized but back to the show Set 1 being great is a great start This is the best show of the 4 day run but it never reaches epic peaks even though it has the best song ever The Lizards and Sea and Sand maybe my favorite cover of all time along w David Bowie NOT the song but his song It Aint Easy off Stardust I named Ziggy my fat rat cat after that album The Blaze on was very nice and I dont even like that song I am not a smoker and only used to vape so now it is gummies once I go back to work I had to be clean for 2 months to get weed out of my blood and urine and hair even 2001 was very nice and always works w a great light show on a beach in the dark so cool that must have been to get that funky great song I got one on my very first show and it was better than this one but both are great 2-21-03 had a nice Waste and Je sus tease in it and then a Stash tease also so cool this one was not as good as the MJ dedication in Camden 2010 but it was great nonetheless and a must listen to. The Weekapaug without Mikes was cool and reminded me of my first 2 sandwhich shows in Cinci and that was the first time they did this but now it has been done 3 times FULL version of Weekapaug the 1 minute version does not count they did once as an opener I think As encore that is pretty darn cool and what an encore this was how fun is that dance party to end a beach show I hope they were not in hell and did not even know like Olivia's Pool I love that song Oblivious Fool I used to think it was called when I was a nube Phish LOVES wordplay and fucking w the new fans and they sure did w me w that one Like the lyrics to Cavern making no sense

Hola from Mexico!
I hope everyone here is having as much fun as I am. The Moon Palace is a fantastic resort — thanks to the hard-working staff here for making us all feel so welcome, and thanks to CID for putting on such an awesome event.
Now, with the niceties out of the way... come on people — as it stands currently, the best you can muster for this show is a 3.7 rating? Really?! I’m not saying this one of the all-time greats, but I feel it certainly deserves more.
I’ve done 3 Mexico runs so far, and last night’s show was easily the best I’ve seen here. I’ve noticed a pattern of Mexico shows being consistently underrated, and I won’t speculate why (plenty of debate on this elsewhere), but this one takes the cake.
Last night featured many of the hallmarks of a brilliant show:
* An outstanding setlist structure... Just look at it!
* Noteworthy bust-outs
* Fan-favourite treats
* Fluid segues
* Teases and callbacks galore
* Deep jams
* Dance parties
* Tight playing, with the band clearly dialled in (and no noteworthy flubs, unlike the night before)
* A monster encore
Perhaps some of the magic didn’t translate well to the webcast or tapings? There were some truly magical moments that maybe you just had to be there to experience — Piper in the rain was beautiful. The crowd going hauntingly silent during Lizards, taking in every note. Seeing Trey with a smile on his face all night long!
I’m not saying the show was perfect. The second set was going to be hard-pressed to compete with the first. Some might say the placement of Lifeboy was bad (I disagree, but can appreciate the sentiment). Newer songs like Sigma Oasis haven’t really found their feet yet.
But there was just so much to love despite these minor shortfalls. I heard one of my favourite 2001s, that was equal parts dance party and exploratory jamming. Bathtub Gin reached some stellar peaks, with a cohesive Shafty segue. The band were firing on all cylinders when the rain fell as Piper was opening up. And the encore was such a treat, with the concluding finish into Shafty being the cherry on top of what was a very fun show.
Just my two cents — but I hope in time people are able to appreciate this show as much as I did!
