Guelah contained Oom Pa Pa and Simpsons signals. I Didn't Know featured Fish on trombone. Antelope included a Random Note signal. Weekapaug contained an On Broadway tease from Mike and references to Rhode Island. During Love You, there was "Don't try this at home" banter regarding Fish's vacuum. The joking was subsequently referenced in Contact. The soundcheck's Dog Log ended with a Misty Mountain Hop tease.

Only have access to the second set, which is fairly straight forward for the time. Mike's groove continues to grow and get more interesting. You can hear Cactus break into an interesting departure baseline in the middle of the tramps segment , but Trey sticks with the wailing cacophonous riffs that seem signature for the tune for most of the last two years and it does't go anywhere but to the closing chords and =>H2. Fish's antics on the vac are pretty funny here as he warns the audience of the dangers in doing this at home. Contact as an encore is nice to see being worked back in to regular rotation again after being hung out to dry during most of this tour. Overall, nothing crazy here, 3 for me in the wake of an unbelievable run the the previous 2-3 weeks.

Nectar was released just a few months before, and Phish is coming nearby to a nice tiny place?
Bring it on!
With a nice Mike's Groove, secret language, Fishman on the vacuum in Cold as Ice>Love you, and then an encore of Contact into Rocky Top, I was blown away. And hooked for life.
All of this in the tiny setting of Bogart's with good friends.

What a bummer that there is no bootleg for this one! Hopefully they did better this night after a day off. Looks like a pretty regular set list for this era. Curtain and Contact seem to stand out to me as the lesser played ones here.Moving on...

Mikes Groove: Hey! This is an interesting version. I think it's definitely worth a listen, not standard.
Mike's Jam is menacing which is par for the course. Second jam really needs to be heard, it's hilarious. I am sorry I can't really even describe it. It's silly but also still menacing. Very very fun. Very cool. Made me laugh.
Hydrogen, good version.
Paug! Paug has a very interesting jam, it's minimalist and repetitive and touches on the same territory as the part of Mike's that I described as funny. It's not exactly virtuosic, and it gets a bit rough but it's very different for the era.
I don't think this is like an all-time great Mike's Groove but it very much needs to be heard. Am I crazy? No one else reviewing the show has mentioned this. Maybe I'm just in the right mood for it.
Oddly, the rest of the set is basically by-the-numbers It's all OK of course, and with every show available on line you should hear the Mike's Groove. Contact is a good encore, the crowd loves it.
