Good recording for this show. Unfortunately the pitch does seem to be a bit slow.

Love the wipe out teases during the trill section! The OG wipe out show! Lawn Boy serves as the perfect cool down song! Beautiful version! I’ve been enjoying the playful intros to these early Gin‘s. Tonight’s my favorite thus far. Solid version. Following the Golgi closer Trey says “they’ll be back in 15 minutes exactly” for the first time.

It made this a tough listen at times because it was an off night for Fishman mostly, accompanied by a recording with lagging tape speed from over the many generations.

So, I thought the La Grange was pretty darn good! But, seriously, most of this show gets filed under early 90's solid-but-average. There are a few interesting moments, like the finish in Bowie and a bit of an unusual Contact. There are also some rough patches in Set II, especially Fluffhead. But for the most part, this is just an enjoyable, pretty tight, average-great show. The sound quality on Set I is pretty excellent, and Set II would be better if it wasn't for the slow recording speed distorting things somewhat. Overall, though, I think it's pretty much straight-up three stars.

This was a very fun show. It was somewhat overshadowed by the fact that I cut myself shaving and missed most of set one holding a towel to my nose. I had decided to shave just before the show becuase my scruff was annoying my turtleneck ( and I was very out there) and wanted a clean shave...well I had shaving cream between the bottom of my nose and upper lip and went to flick it off with the razor and it sliced under my nose ( there area where youbleed almost profusely)...so second set came around and I was boogying around having a blast. This was the cafeteria and the next day it was so weird to eat breakfast in the same place where it all went down the night before. Fluffhead was my first and really impressive. This was a very small venue and I think the draw the band had caugth soem by surprise...man did we have fun this night. It was frigid and oh, by the way, when I was in my dorm stopping my razor bleed, I could totally hear the first set from the bathroom! certifiable!
