This show was a heater and one of those shows where the jamming, setlist, and crowd energy aligns perfectly and steamrolls into a magical night.
This show was a heater and one of those shows where the jamming, setlist, and crowd energy aligns perfectly and steamrolls into a magical night. This show had it all, baby. Lots of old songs with just a touch of new - from the Evolve album. Not too many or too few songs, with good flow thru the show and extended jams in both first and second sets. A very smooth, and only, Simple -> Punch in band history. Dirty jams - The Well. Frenzied jams - Crosseyed and Painless. Proper ballads in their proper place in the middle of the set - Reba and Lonely Trip. Perfect Encore with Wading in the Velvet Sea to bring us together and then First Tube to bring us out on a high note. And also Phish's national anthem - You Enjoy Myself - with a vocal jam that was actually well put together! Oh and almost forgot, a 30 minute Tweezer...

Absolutely INCREDIBLE show that I felt I willed on through pure energy. Was sitting about 10 rows back from Trey and felt that every time I cheered it pushed the band to keep jamming!
Absolutely INCREDIBLE show that I felt I willed on through pure energy. Was sitting about 10 rows back from Trey and felt that every time I cheered it pushed the band to keep jamming! Not much to say except this is pretty much a perfect show, warts and all. Setlist is heavy as can be, execution of both compositions and jams were amazing, the pacing and flow never stopped . No downside or lacking moments. And the band never stopped ascending. I think Pillow Jets blew me away… although it was the third newer song of the night, it was the one that really seemed to introduce a new edge, a new quality, and that solo at the end was completely bonkers. Just pretend I go on at length about each and every song, but really, take this show for several spins. You won’t regret it. The recording shows that it was not mere hype, but one that will very likely stand the test of time. Enjoy!

Starting off strong with a killer Simple (w/o finish) to PYITE. Gumbo had a good jam!! Nice to hear The Well and Bowie. Trey wanted to end off with a rocker hence Character Zero.
